That is why nothing serious was harmed. It looked like a .45/70 revolver

Interesting. I always thought it was a stainless encore pistol. Wish the video quality was better. If it was a revolver and he took a real forward grip like that with his left hand, he may have a lot worse problems than a bump on the head. The gas cutting from the cylinder throat and forcing cone gap would be horrific. That being said, ive got some good loads for the 45/70 that theres no way id touch off in a pistol. Talk about yikes!

When the .45/70 was invented it was said to be dangerous from both ends. I think it was a joke. I have had a couple of .45/70s and did not find them too bad for recoil,
nothing like my .458 Winchester magnum. Since I did not have any elephants to shoot I traded it. Marline made one of their lever action rifles in .45/70.
I thought I would like one of those but moved to where hunting was no longer practical.

Hahah yeah, not near the .458. I do want one of those too, but my .375 ruger is gonna have to suffice. Its a great gun for all of north america, but like you, i dont see any elephants in the near future. That marlin is the 1895, i do like it, but with the loads i run through it, that light gun gets your attn after a few. Really NEED a shiloh sharps!

Sold my full size Ruger SR45 (great gun, not easy to carry). Shield .45 to be picked up tomorrow. I am hoping I like it wel enough to replace my Shield in 9MM. May have to keep them both? Chest rig carry option on the way.

Nice guns. Give the apex triggers a try if its in the budget. Probably the best improvement for the money.
