That's true about other ATV rims working for a rear wheel. I just decided to use the z rim for consistency and interchangeability with my z rim on the front of my bike

With a bit of parts research it might be possible to use the steel front hub on the rear of the TW.
Depending on width, bearing size(s), and if a sprocket flange could be welded on (width of hub).
    One of these:
    84-86 Honda ATC200S ATC200 ATC 200 front wheel hub & brake drum | eBay

    Many possibilities, eh?

I hoped to have this mounted up last weekend but I was "tricked" into painting my daughters room. Funny how fatherly duties supersede TW projects. I still have to extend the brake rod to mate up with the the 2 1/2" swingarm extension. I've thought about using stainless cable and life line hardware for sail boats to make this up, but in the short term, I think I'll use a turnbuckle so I can take advantage of some warmer temps.

I still can't explain why, but I ended up with an extra TW rear wheel so I sent both to Mike. Still not sure what I'm going to do with it but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I ended having the wheel and a handful of the parts powder coated. Interesting thing about powder coating in black is that it is done as a percentage of gloss shine. These are done in a 20% gloss vs. flat.

No TW project is complete without the obligatory hammer shot for Admiral . I welded a large washer onto kickstand, lots of cleaning, priming and painting of misc. parts:

The flange where the studs go through to attach to the rim are threaded. Which type of studs did you use as I can't see them in your pictures?

Hey Admiral - I took my hub down to Big-O Tires and had them install the studs for me. I don't remember the exact thread/size since they did it for me. Bought the trailer wheel from them as well which was cheaper than online.

You can't see it if you're not out there living it!

IMG_20170331_203847.jpg well this weeks adventure has pointed me back to this thread... Now I've got the stretched swingarm, 55t sprocket, 122 link xring... And not rear tire!!! Is there a final design yet? What's the best option? - spawner

That busted bead ATV tire takes me back a few years! I tried to have one mounted on the stock rim and wasted like a hundred and fifty bucks when it blew up.

Yeah, after the shop had it for a week, and couldn't get it I figured what the heck... I just kept pumping it up figuring it would either seat or explode. 110 psi it let go.
I keep looking for a 26x8-12 tire to go with the trailer wheel. I'd like to stay away from the 9inch wide variety due to weight. The best I can come up with is an $80 variant made by sunf. $_1.JPG thoughts?

The car is that rounder softer tires work best. I use the black diamond sti. Atx. It has deep tread and is studdable dot legal and can run flat.

That tire looks promising. With that much space between the lugs, does it get buzzy on the pavement?
