    Mrmunkmunk's Street Build

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Tw200 after wanting one for some time. After looking through all the forums for good advice, I have plans into converting into a street naked bike. (Living in LA) (Sorry to the real TW owners) but stay tuned. I've had fun customizing a Ruckus and I look forward to doing the same for this bike

Also I've noticed that it leaks gas after 3-4 mins of shutting off the bike, I know it has the gas cut-off but it shouldn't leak that quickly right?
Need to change those non-DOT tires and oil soon.

This is how it looks how I bought it.

If those are the factory tires, they should be DOT.

Looking forward to seeing your build.

    Welcome.

Probably the float sticking. Is it leaking into your airbox?

I tried looking for the stamp, must have over looked it, but just changed them out for Bridgestones, throw on an acewell gauge and changed the headlight

I will look for more on that gas leak though

Here are the acewell, the new bridgestones (Not knob) and the HID Trailtech headlight, I'd want change the handle bars and seat next, in addition to the tail light.

Back tire looks nice though I can't see the front very well. First time I've seen such a small single headlight. Not the best choice IMO but look forward to seeing the other mods you have in mind. I made a lot of changes myself. Winona's "makeover"

Edit///I'd like higher bars myself but then I'd need longer cables and wires. Not ready to dig into that one till I strip it down for a full repaint.

If the gas is leaking out of the bottom of the carb (overflow), most likely you have a bad o-ring on the float valve seat.

It's still a good idea to turn the petcock off when the bike is not in use.

Don't apologize for wanting to make a custom build from a TW. I think we all would like to do a custom build out of a TW just because we like the bikes so much.

I had a second machine (TW) I bought years ago to do just that and decided to not go that route.

Do it up good and share all your photos. We'll love it I'm sure.
