    70mm Chinese Piston on ebay.

I couldn't resist. I had to order one to see what it was like. It was only $30 and compared to a Wiseco that is cheap!

Piston Rings Pin Clips Kit For Yamaha XT225 XT 225 STD Standard Bore Size 70mm | eBay

I included a new stock 67mm Yamaha piston in the pictures for comparison.

New rings, wrist pin, and clips are included.

It looks decent enough. The TW comes with a cast piston so this one should work out OK, however, given a choice I do prefer the forged high compression Wiseco.

With a 55.7mm stock stroke crank I estimate the compression about 9.1:1. With the 58mm crank about 9.5:1.

I quickly measured the diameter at the bottom of the skirt and it was 2.7554" = 69.987mm.
At the wrist pin it was 2.7529" = 69.924mm.
    .0025" taper sounds about right.

I ordered it on 3-5-'17 and it arrived 3-14-'17. Not bad considering it came all the way from Henan China, where ever in China that is.

For $30, I really can't say anything bad about it! it actually looks pretty decent!! Henan is to the left of Shanghai. (in relation.. Shanghai is kind of like where Virginia is, Henan is where Indiana is) I live in Taiwan, not too far away! I believe that piston belongs to a local yamaha bike in China called the JYM250. (its actually a 222cc but you know how yamaha is) 70mm x 57.8mm. This is a very interesting bike. It shares the same displacement and head stud spacing with the XT/TW/TTR/SR and it has a dual cam bearing design from the factory! 6005 on the gearside and 6202 on the small end. I'll see if I can find a few pictures of the head. its a bolt on!

Somebody some where does but not for $30. They make a TTR250 74mm piston for less than $40 but the wrist pin is 18mm. TW wrist pin is 16mm.
