Raptor 250 Carb on a Tw?

I am trying a raptor 250 carburetor on my TW. Looks like it will be the right size, right height and seems to fit well . I'm using A TTR 225 intake manifold not sure how to mount a airbox tube from the carb to air box. The OD of the Raptor carb is 52mm.IMG_2133.JPGIMG_2134.JPGIMG_2136.JPGIMG_2139.JPG

Very interesting. Look at the military silicone hose on eBay it may be available in the correct ID. It may be a canadate for the intake but how to terminate at the air box?... some type of flange will be needed. It's always the intake that's a pita!

As it turns out I'm in the same boat as you. I picked up a ttr225 yesterday with an aftermarket china carb on it but that bike rocks. It had my 290pd ass wheeling wheelies all over, very easily. But there is no intake hose to the air box. There is crappy foam tyewrapped to the carbs intake bell. I need to solve the same issue as you.. if I find anything acceptable I'll post up here for you.

I couldn't help but notice your oil bypass (and hardwood garage floor!). I like that bypass valve!. Do you have a thread on your cooling system?

I could be forgetting, but isn't that motor the 250cc? I'm trying to remember if that's the 74mm re-sleeve job you had.

Pardon my ignorance but is the 250 Carb a "pumper" as opposed to a constant velocity carb? I have always thought the TW needed a pumper. I have one of the $20.00 Chinese carbs but have not put it on. My Tw is running too good to mess with.

Its 71mm piston and a 62mm stroked crank - 245cc. If you look close below the cylinder ther is a 2mm shim.

No the carb is not a pumper.

HURRICANE Oil Cooler with SPAL Cooling Fan Install Is from the old forum

Mr Gizmo had a few good ideas. He said the XT225 air boot will fit the Raptor carb and the splice it with the TW boot.
