Man I love the extra brackets you welded on the cyclerack for mounting your tubes. Wished you were closer I would love to have the same thing.

hey Digger98, I was wondering what I was gonna do with my stock yamaha rear rack since I put a new cycleracks rear rack on. Thanks for the idea! Having a light duty rack on front would work perfect. I broke it with too much weight when it was on the back. Never liked the front racks that block the headlight.

Hey folks, just ordered the rack and it did not come with any instructions or bolts for the part that attaches under the seat...if you did use the existing bolts, would they even fit with regard to length? I watched the you tube, but without narration I don't know if I was supposed to get bolts for this part of the rack or use whatever is under there. Also I got the side panels...but again not clear how these are supposed to sit and I can't find a close up anywhere...I tried hanging them on there but they seemed to really rattle and slide around...is the roc strap included the only thing actually holding them in place? Granted it may make sense once the rack is on.No directions on the website either...

Edit: found this to answer my side bag support question (yes it is a rocstrap holding them on)Cycleracks Bag Supports

Still not sure on the rack bolt issue

    Hi Lynlee,

It has been a while since I installed a brand new Cyclerack, but I believe that you just use the existing hardware to mount the top bracket under the seat. You should have received some longer bolts for mounting the legs to the passenger peg mounts. It may take a little persuasion to get things lined up, so don't tighten anything up until you are able to get everything assembled loosely first.

Sorry, but I can't help you with the side brackets since I have never used those.

the only hardware I received was attached to the passenger peg mount (shown). Would it kill them to have some simple instructions as well as what is included in packaging...I mean nothing fancy, just some IKEA like diagram would help.

When you set it overtop it will be obvious where the bolts go.

Yeah I got that, what was not clear was whether I reuse the bolts under the seat since other threads mention using longer bolts....so I guess people bought those on their own. In any event Cycleworks let me know you can indeed use the same bolts so I am good to go.
