Any Good Riding spots near Cheyenne, WY?

We are headed out to Wyoming/Colo for a few days of work and are bringing 2 Tdubs. We were hoping to ride out of Vedauwoo Campground and possibly cast a spinner or two during the ride. Any recommendations or places to avoid around there? We thought about running all the way to Medicine Bow but are time-limited. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Found some good riding with RocNE. Definitely need to change rear sprocket to 54 tooth and jet for elevation.

That is some wide open territory! (To other forum members: Click on the pictures 3 times and expand them and look at the background. It is amazing!) And is that snow I see in the background?

I have driven across Wyoming a few times on I-80 and it looked to me like it shouldn't be any problem finding places to ride. Heck, the whole state looked like a good place to ride.

If you come across abandoned buildings, ranches, farm equipment, automobiles, mines, etc., take pictures and post them. I like to look at them. Tony

We did find quite a bit of snow to go through. Best technique was just like barefoot skiing. Toes up, heels planted and wide open in second gear. We rode from 7,500 on up to 10k+. Realized that we should have went with different gearing and jetting from stock as the whistle wouldn't pull my 275# and gear up steep hills. (Doubt it was the beer causing an issue.) We will definitely ride in WYO more!

We were up at the observatory on Jelm Mountain Road for a few of those pics. Seemed like you could see for 50 miles up there!
