As TWilight has mentioned in Mel's Moab post, there is most likely to be 1,000 or more photo's and video's which will be posted. With that, I'm gonna start my own thread, and I suggest others do the same so we don't get ALL OF OUR wonderful photo's lost in someone else's thread.
Thank you's and acknowledgements:
Ron in Boise for getting this whole Moab riding thing started. Doubt I or many other's would have even thought to go there. Thanks Ron
Mel for his cooking. His willingness to to "serve", was way up there. Oh, and thanks for selling me your tire!
Plumbstraight for the wood. Some of us brought a little that in no way would have been enough.
Ebbanflood for recognizing me at Gemini Bridges as we had never met before. Giggle
Bodi, our impromptu trail guide. Thanks a lot, you got us going in the right direction.
And Bob. We met Bob last year at the Elk City Russ Ralley. Lori and I where so glad you could come even though you were hurt a bit.
And to everyone else: My wife and I really liked everyone we met, which I think was everybody. Some we didn't socialize with as much as other's, but it was a pure pleasure to meet you all.
Open invite: Anyone ever passing through the Boise area, give us a shout and stop by.
And now it begins.
Day 1, travel day. 19 March. Final Packing an day 1 of travel.
Day 2. 20 March. Sovereign trail - Moderate. The Admiral has landed...at North Camp, unloaded and Lori and I went for a 3 hour ride on the Sovereign ATV Trail to get our riding sea legs. Not everyone was here yet at North Camp, but Lori and I were itchin' to go for a ride.
It was a nice tune-up and glimpse of what was ahead. We had no idea what we were gonna see in the next few day's!
Ended Day 1 with a little fire side get together.
Day 3, 21 March. 7 Mile Rim - Difficult. The first North Camp group ride day.
What a sight for our morning wake up.
North Camp L-R. Bodi, Id Larry, Mel, Irppcer (Wa Larry), TWilight (for ride), Fred, Admiral and Ron.
Ron is leading us on the 7 Mile Rim Trail today. Not the exact route, but you get the idea.
Mel and Lori
Id Larry waits and gather's us up after a step and rocky beginning. We were behind a couple of other motorcycle riders who fell a couple times slowing us and the jeeps up. (L-R) Id Larry, Mel, Lori, Wa Larry, Fred.
Finally on top on the 7R.
First sight of Merrimac and Monitor Butte's.
Georgie & Lori. When the trails are rocky, they're sandy!
Merrimac Butte up close and personal.
Wa Larry & Mel at base of Merrimac
Day 3 to be continued
