Hi! New owner of a '08 TW and new to the forum (which is fantastic). I live in the triad of NC and hope to get the goat down east in the spring. Will look you up when I make the trip or let me know if you're ever in the piedmont!

Piedmont resident, checking in. I'll make the trip out when it's not so darn cold!

Many trails near you? I definitely plan on heading to western NC when it gets warmer. Have camped in Wilson Creek area and know many places to ride there. About an hour away. Ever heard of maple sally rd? Another trip I plan on taking in the spring.

Is it time to start putting together a group ride down east?

Seems like we have riders and places to ride.

    February or March?

If it was cool with haroman we could use his place as a starting point. He said he has access to trails and a place to wrench if needed.

    I'm game. Who else? When?

Thinking about hitting the black swamp trails this Sunday. Probably in the afternoon. Anyone interested?

Black swamp looks fun! Also, Brushy Mountain is a blast on the TW! At least, as long as you dont mistakenly get on the black diamonds like a friend and I did...lol. we bailed out and trailblazed back to more friendly terrain after getting the snot kicked out of us for about a mile. (still, it was kinda fun)

Looks like this is only 3-4 hours away from me. I may have to take a long weekend down there this spring.
