Thanks for the link Fred, just ordered a pair of 11's. Im not one to say no to $90 off
Ive got a narrower foot, hopefully the reviews that said they were roomy with a wide foot were slightly exaggerated.

Boots got here this AM. Super fast shipping from that ebay seller. The boots are in perfect condition, no blemishes and an 11 fit exactly as my normal boots do. Seems to fit exactly to size and construction and design seem good. Hope that helps if anyone was on the fence about buying them. Wearing them around the house now

I don't use these but they seem to have the same features as most of the adventure boots and they are not expensive:

MSR Dual Sport Boot - MSR

I use sidi gortex adventure boots to commute in and have used them offroad riding, that's why they look so beat up. But they are waterproof and more than I hope I need on road. For reference I'd say sidi's are a little on the narrower side. They will squeak but break in is minimal.
But I typically use crossfires, when going offroad, as I try not to walk around too much. If they had a waffle pattern sole I'd be more happy with them. I know one of their boots have interchangeable soles but the ones I have don't.

I have had several instances where I was glad I had a heavy duty motoX style boot on rather than a smaller, lighter more comfortable boot.
    It's all a trade off.
Two reasons I like taller boots is that I've had pegs bang into my calf and shins and rocks, tree parts and crap come up and hit the front of my boots.

If I'm sure I'm not really going to be in tougher riding and I expect to walk some I'll might use the shorter boots.
If not it's as much protection as I can have from my boots.
