So sorry Tuna, was wondering what happened to you. Wishing a speedy recovery. Darn pretty here.

This is definitely a weak point of TW, Fred. This was one of the spots that mine needed welding, due to an almost identical crack - just not all the way through like yours - YIKES! Good thing you found a welder out there

Also did this to poor Betty's frame...

A visit to Dan the Barefoot Welder got me back on the road.
Competing theory is that frame got fractured same time I broke my subframe in four places Thursday when we failed to clear a leap across a little arroyo. Lack of rubber isolation mounts on the Ricochet skid plate really transmit shock loads to the frame. Stock rubber mounts are good for the same reason your helmet has a foam liner rather than being directly bolted to your skull.

Fred are you using a new camera? Your pictures look awesome this year. The colors are amazing and the contrast is spot on. Very nice. I was teasing you earlier about your foot because in that picture it just looked swollen but dang it is worse than I thought. Hope it feels well enough to enjoy the remainder of your time there. Take care and take it easy on that foot.

Fred, your foot looks like mine did after our ride last September. Yes, that ride when all but one rider ended up on the ground. You should be back to normal in a couple of months. Moab looks like fun.

    Captain's Log
Star Date: four point six point two zero one seven.
Following Tri-Ox and ice pack repairs to battle damage sustained with the rock monster Horta of Hell's Revenge (NO KILL I) I am ready to rejoin intrepid Crewmen as they prepare to beam down to the planet White Rim Trail. Following Star Fleet directives we have full Di-Lithium Crystal fuel packs, special use permits and phasers set on "Stun" we are ready should we encounter Park Rangers or other alien life forms on the planet surface.
    Wish us luck!

Joemama; on what I lovingly called your "ride from hell", I only fell over once - when getting off my bike to help someone else who was already down.

In Moab: I went off the trail, fell over in sand, and crashed trying to climb rock faces at least 15 times while on Slick Rock Bike Trail; Hell's Revenge; Gemini Bridges Road; Gold Bar Rim; Golden Spike; and Poison Spider Routes.
