For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Please tell me someone on here bought this already!!
I'm looking at buying my first bike and won't settle for anything less than a TW200. The owner of this bike called me today with a new price that is $400 less than the price in the ad, making this $2400 instead of $2800. Assuming everything is mechanically sound and that none of the extra gear will fit me, is $2400 a good price? KBB has a 2005 TW200 listed at $2,050 retail in "excellent" condition. Here's the ad...
Yamaha tw200 - $2800
2005 Yamaha tw200
condition: like new
engine displacement (CC): 196
paint color: silver
title status: clean
senior owned, super-clean with only 1200 miles. Bike runs and looks as nearly new. Brand new carb after original had condensation from storage. New carb installed by dealer and all lines and tank checked - runs perfectly! Includes carrier, charger, $50 gas can with speed filler. Also have new high-end, high-viz Scorpian Jacket with two liners, two helmets, etc which I will include if they fit.
Be aware that you will most likely want to replace the tires and tubes. Plan a couple hundred for that. Also, take the extra gear whether it fits you or not ... tell him you have buddies that the gear will fit. Also, you might see if he still has the original carb around. Might be worth attempting to clean it up as a spare or to sell.
Jump on it, that is a good deal for a low miles '05 (the best color).
Depends on where you are, I would offer $2k and have him sell the gear seperate. Land between that and $2.4k and you have the couple hundred you need for fresh tires, oil, maybe stearing head bearings etc...
