34 & Sunny - Fire Up the TW

Been a while so time for a short afternoon ride around the back 40.

It's like riding in mash potatoes only a tad bit chillier.

    Nice sunny day though

    I wish it was summer

I wil go for a ride if we hit 34 and sunny. Although since its been sunny for 5 minutes in the last two weeks, I think the TW is safe for another day!

After I got back I saw your other post about being 40, cloudy, and a no-go day for riding. We haven't had much sun either. Bundled up in insulated coveralls and protected by my ATV Mitts and windshield I was pretty warm even when I was going 60. Wouldn't want to do it all day probably, but for a 2-hour jaunt, I was warm...enough!

Admirals Prayer - May your cold and clouds soon be replaced by warm and sun! I made this up but it can't hurt to try right?

The temperature matters, but its more the wet goo that makes up the dirt roads here when its just over freezing. With no sun it never dries either! Just a little sun dries things o0ut, plus getting out gets some sun on my face!

    Thanks for the Prayer!

I see you're keeping yourself busy while I'm gone!
thanks for the road report too, the dirt road he was on is my normal commute to work but the past couple weeks it's been too soft to drive, so I've been driving the long way to work. I can't wait to find me some mud holes when I head to work tomorrow!

"It's like riding in mash potatoes " -That Admiral sure can create a colorful and accurate turn of phrase. The new TW sure sounds healthy at speed. I kept waiting to hear him try to up-shift into sixth gear like I always do.

Laughing my ass off! Shortly after I passed the jeep I did indeed try to shift one more time (phantom 6th) but I edited it out! Too fricken funny. All us 5 speeders keep doing it even though we've been using only 5 gears for years!

...but I got the damaged patio cover removed before I went out riding!

Yeah, I'd give it another week before trying Pearl Rd. There were some pretty rough spots with the ice ruts! Paved road has frost heaves, but you probably are already aware of that!
