Hello all, looking forward to getting and giving on this forum. Just picked up a pretty well used 99 TW-200, but it is a fun change from my 160+HP streetbikes.
Needed a partner for my CT-110 anyway so the wife and I or the older grandkids can putt putt the trails when camping.

I plan a full teardown and go over this next winter and will make it a theme bike, I have already picked the name, "Zombie Stomper" and am working on mounts for my AR-15 and Machete. I know I will get some great ideas from this group!

TW adds a bit of diversification to your stable :)

With those streetfighter type bikes: do you catch a bunch of extra wind without the front faring? Why did you decide to make them this way? I sort of like the look...kind of guzzi-ish

Thanks for the welcome guys. As for the naked bike, I guess it all depends on personal choice. I put 20K miles on my stock ZX-9 and could do 500 mile days back to back, but my neck and shoulders would complain. After I made a 3 piece collarbone in a tip over I could hardly stand it, so the 9 went fighter for 2 years and I could ride 1500 miles in 3 days with no excessive discomfort.

When I went to the 05 ZX-10, I loved the stock sharpness and edge, but after one season my age and bones cried out for more uprightness. Even with the 'seeming' lack of wind protection, it is less straining on my body than hunched so far forward.

The bike with dirty/drag bars is actually quite flickable, and I routinely do track days and drag knees. It is a bit of a chore to hang on for extended blasts at 150-170, but that is very short lived on most straights and I save on an upper body workout at the gym.

Nice bikes all round, quality stuff from Japan.
Kyosuke needs a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tyre on the rear now, the big front makes the rear look wimpy!

Did the longer swing arm give you that extra amount of real travel?
What kind of forks do you have on the front.

There are so many questions....so many parts I envy.
