Nice bikes!

Bore 200cc to 236cc, transmission 5 speed to 6!?!?!?    How?   Whole engine swap or just inside parts?

Ronnydog, I'll take a stab at that vent tube, and guess that it's some sort of blowby scavenging setup. From the pics it's difficult to tell, but it may be plumbed into the header. Could just be a puke tube directly to the ground. But that ball valve or whatever the red knob is in the line has me baffled.
Powdercoated '87 frame, disc front, XT350 tank, tall bars, risers, '03 motor and electrical, kickstarter, cut ATV rear rack, TCI front rack, upgraded wiring, kickstart, no safety switches, D2moto pegs, 8" headlight, Bighorn2, 55t, etc. Constantly in flux.

Kyosuke. Please tell X Yamaha Engineer that many people all over the world admire (like) Yamaha Engineering. The people on this forum also admire the TW200 as a very elegant (beautiful) example of Yamaha Engineering. Many people think the TW200 is a "work of art".

I think that you have made art with your machine also.

This shaft needs to be modified or changed to 6spd profile in order to achieve 6 speed, or a whole new TW output shaft must be made.

Top = XT225, 6 speed output shaft
Bottom = TW125, TW200, TW225, 5 speed output shaft

Not whole engine swap.

This picture is my engine.
My engine add tw200 and tw225 and XT225.
Transmission is maybe tw200andXT225.
Friction plate is XT225[6plate] , but it need to shave the cover.
It was not possible to teach about Camshaft and piston .

The TW225 already has a 6 speed as stock equipment, just like the XT225?  At least that is what I am assuming.

My pic is xt225 output shaft on top, TW200 output shaft on bottom...6 speed shaft on top , 5 speed shaft on bottom...the TW has the wrong length splines, and it lacks the extra lubrication hole for the six speed gearset....Yamaha never produced a 6 speed TW output shaft as far as I know...

they make a different clutch cover to run the six disk clutch plate...the xt225 cover works, a tw cover will not work without modification, which is why it needed to be shaved...the crankcase ventilation also differs, so it is not as simple as just bolting up an xt225 clutch cover.

Awesome TWs, Team from Japan!

Can the TW 5-speed countershaft can be machined to use the Serow 6-speed transmission and clutch?

I hope the picture of the 5 & 6 speed shafts displays & not a whole lot of jumbled text.

Without doing any investigation it looks to me that we could fit the 6 speed shaft into our engine.  The splined section would poke through.  If we had a separate extension with female splines that fits over the 6 speed to carry our output sprocket complete with the extension that fits into the outrigger bearing.  That would be a comparatively easy part to make.  Some mods to the sprocket may be required because of the bigger diameter for the female splined piece.  The extension piece would be properly supported by the splines on the one side & the outrigger bearing on the other. We would also need to fit the 6 speed gear selector & gears - obviously.  What about the clutch?

you mean like 5463 shaft?
Why worry about the clutch? just bolt that spare xt225 motor in your frame, change to the TW stator cover and go...no messy engine disassembly...

Hello

There is an able engine tuner in Shizuoka in Japan as saying of Kyo-suke and Siba chang. I of the mechanic am all indebted to us. He produces the engine of 236cc and 243cc by misappropriating the piston of other some engines, and is doing various processings to other engine heads. By the way, it is the one that the crank part of my engine also applies the side cover of TW200 to the one of serrow225(xt225). However, it is depending on him whether to accept the contact from foreign countries.

You wouldn't happen to know of a source for that shaft by any chance?  If I could get my hands on some of that, I might need to round up a TTR motor.......
