Service Manual

Is there any other manual’s that are useful while working on the TW other than the Yamaha one. I was raised in an automotive repair shop my grandfather owned. So if I get some good manual’s I’m sure I can do almost anything.

I'd like a service manual. Anyone got an electronic version? I manage to get a .pdf genuine honda service manual for my 650cc Dominator. Anyone got such a thing?

Thank you SO MUCH!

I am really starting to love this forum site... It's very cool to get a bike and hten find almost a community. I've had many many bikes... but somehow the TW grabs my imagination and takes me back to my youth... and now I am starting to enjoy messing about with bikes again...

Thank you again for the manuals!

Hi Petrus,
I opened an account with mediafire and I downloaded the TWmanual.pdf to my file within mediafire but I can't figure out how to save the pdf file to my computer or to print it.
Any tips on what I am missing?
Thanks

Why did you use mediafire to download it?

Anyway here`s how to save a file from mediafire to your PC

Click on - My Files
Click the check box next to the file that you want to download - the owners manual
Click on - Share
Click on - Download file
Click on - Click here to start download
Click the - circle next to "save file
Click on - OK.

I use Firefox as a my web browser
Go to tools, then downloads, then double click on the downloaded file.
The pdf file will then open on your pc.

Some print tips.

Print the manual back to back - you wil save 138 pages

To do this in adobe reader:
Click on - the printer
Click on - subset
Click on - Odd pages only
Click on - Ok
You will now only print pages 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,etc

Take the printed pages and put them in your printer (in my printer they need to be face down, header facing me, experiment with yours for the correct position)

Now to print the backside of the pages:

To do this in adobe reader:
Click on - the printer
Click on - subset
Click on - Even pages only
Click on - Ok

You will now have a manual thats printed on both sides of the paper.

I would print the first twenty pages first to get the hang of this if you have never done it before. Then the chances of F O  is much smaller.

I hope this helped you.
Petrus

ATXthumper - you can find an "updated" (main) service manual mentioned in the thread at http://tw200forum.com/forums/68534/ShowPost.aspx

Even easier, you can download it directly from my personal web space at http://pasalesusetax.com/tw200mainmanual_ocrv2.pdf

The "updated" version has been indexed, so that anything you wish to find is "searchable", using the search tools in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Anyone have this service manual http://www.repairmanual.com/motorcycles/1999/69/3/3892/10910 and compared it to the pdf service manual mentioned that's available for download?

I have the official printed version. It's exactly the same... including the horrid photos. :)

Sure ATXthumper - I also put the 2001 and later supplement on my personal web space at http://pasalesusetax.com/TW200 '01_and_newer_supplement.pdf

This version of that manual is also indexed, so that anything you wish to find is "searchable", using the search tools in Adobe Acrobat Reader. And it is printable, so you can print selected pages whenever you like.
