Parts advice
Reply Quote

I am looking for two parts for my tdub;

1) Clutch/Brake lever protectors (with aluminum supports that connect to the bar ends)

and

2) bar risers.

I need to order them, so if anyone has some good suggestions, I am open to hearing about them.

Regards
...Wes

Emgo sells aluminum reinforced brush guards. Quite stout.

Thanks Qwerty, I looked through some older posts and decided on the Tusk d-flex handguards and the Tusk bar risers.  A good part of my decision was who would ship to Canada.  Thanks for taking the time to respond.

After market ATV handle bars. About 2" higher, 2" narrower, a "cleaner" look, and only 20 bucks!

Igofar -- Santa Clara Cycle -- Lawerence Exwy north to El Camino, turn left, about 4 to 6 blocks down on the right handside. 993 E. ECR, Sunnyvale. And I think he called them "mini" bars. On a rack by the cash register. Can't miss it.

Zoom Cycle is good if dealing with the owner but the other guys there aren't to bright. Prices a little high too. IMHO.

I bought from Rocky Mtn ATV, simply because they shipped to Canada.  I won't see them for a few weeks, so I can't give you much feedback yet.

Love your toyota, I had a 1981 and a 1991, but then the kids came along and we needed more room.

Thanks elime.  I know the place.  While I agree with dealing with the younger folk at Zoom, Dan (the owner) and John (the manager) will always get my money.  John started off at the "Old" Santa Clara Cycle Salvage (same building) but when it was a salvage business.  I can still remember walking in the back and seeing parts from Ossa's, Bultaco's, Laverda's, Hodaka's, Steen's, Triumphs, Norton's, BSA's, Wards, etc.  They always had whatever you needed.....need an oil line for your Suzuki T500 titan twin, no problem!  Then the place sold out and changed owners :(   I'm not saying the new shop is bad, I'm just saying its no where near the same as it once was.
If you ever do go to Zoom, ask for John.  He's forgotten more about bikes than most people know in their lifetime.
He's ridden with the pro's, and is very humble, nice guy.
He's been my go to guy for years.....since he left the old store.
