So i just got a 1999 TW and the tires look a little low. I do mostly cities driving so I'd rather have better traction on pavement. What should my psi be? I used the search and found anything from 17 to 25 psi?? Should the front and rear tire be the same Psi?
thanks

Mike,
Behind your headlight you should find a white tag on the steering tube. It gives the inflation pressures. Generally 18-20 rear, 18 front. Increase it for really heavy loadings, but that info is all on the tag.
Powdercoated '87 frame, disc front, XT350 tank, tall bars, risers, '03 motor and electrical, kickstarter, cut ATV rear rack, TCI front rack, upgraded wiring, kickstart, no safety switches, D2moto pegs, 8" headlight, Bighorn2, 55t, etc. Constantly in flux.

I run about 18 on the street, 7-10 in the dirt (depending on terrain). FWIW I weigh about 185 LBS and generally (off-road always) carry about a 20 pound tool bag.
