03-15-2010, 10:12 AM Igofar Joined on 06-28-2008 Posts 645 Backorder Information Needed I just placed an order with RONAYERS.COM, for all the parts to install (2) complete kickstarters on my 2008 TW's. All of the parts came in already with the exception of (2) part number #15A-15660-01-00, Which is the kick axel assemply(s). The parts guy said the show BACKORDERED, and are unable to show an availablity date.  He said it could take anywhere from a couple days, to a year or more!  And he had no way to get Yamaha to provide them with the information. He said theres a chance that it could also be DISCONTINUED without notice, and being on backorder, we would not know unless we checked each month.  Does this sound normal to anyone? He said my best bet would be to find another dealer or distributor who already has it in stock. Anyone know any other dealers who may have (2) of these parts? Thanks for the help. I ordered my carb parts from boats.net, as well as some tubes recently. Off-Topic : Sent you and email a few days ago. No tires for me yet, because apparently they have to put in new tubes when mounting DOT approved tires. And of course, nobody had the rear tube locally. F'en DOT!!! You can avoid internal post if I give you the address of the two dealers who have them & then you deal direct with them. sEEYA!wES! A good bike in the wilderness is a great companion!    Report

Same story, "we all Order from yamaha" Parts are shown on Backorder with no production date or delivery date available. This is starting to #&%@ me off! I can't believe NOBODY in the US of A has any of these damn things.  :( The search continues..... I look Far...    Report

I called and the Parts guy had to go dig through the warehouse to find them for me!  Now thats service! Seems they purchased the yamaha dealership as part of the deal on the new property and didn't have very good inventory records. This guy "Buddy" was awsome, he took my number and called me back in about 20 minutes with parts in hand, said he'll ship them in the morning! Now RonAyers will ship the rest of the order, and I'll be able to start work by next weekend! Yippppeeeee.... I'd like to say thank you to everyone who tried to help......thank you.    Report
