Colored wiring diagram

How can I get a colored diagram for the 1988 - 2000 models. I will be installing a new, used complete harness in the next week or so and it could be a great help?

Thanks

It sure would be nice to have a "sticky" made up with the 87, 88-2000, 2001-to present in our tech info.
I'm not sure which diagrams are for which generations. The one I made was for TW200T/TC, which ever that is.
If you can get me the original diagrams, I will enjoy reproducing them in color for you guys.

I found this somewhere 2 or 3 years ago, It says an 87, but I can't verify that, perhaps someone could.

In our service manuals (main manual) in the tech section, there are wiring diagrams for TW200 T/TC and also TW200 EU and TW200 EUC I don't know what years those are though, anyone know?

Just looking at these diagrams are useful but they sure do make a lot of us wish we had some training in electrical systems. It is easy enough to understand that L = the color blue and I can follow that to where it joins with other color wires. Where I am seriously ignorant with these schematics is all the various signs and what they signify. My keyboard does not have these spring looking squiggles or any of the other signs used in electric so I might as well be reading Greek. I guess I can relate a sign in the headlight to signify a bulb filament and a curved line where the fuse is to be a fuse sign that could burn out. There are a lot of other signs I have no idea what they mean but our members with some electrical training understand them all.

I always say I am a Jack of all trades but a master of none. Very frustrating when I have to admit with electrical stuff that Jack is a dumb bastard and he is me! I don't necessarily hate electric but it does tend to show my short comings pretty quick. I always loved Lizrdbrth's signature line, "I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you", How true is that?

Thanks VS and very nice work!

Yes, Anyone who has the 2001-2014 Owners Manual should have the wiring diagram in the back cover. I think once we get that scanned and posted we should have them all.

Added the EN to the first post.

The first two diagrams were taken from the 'Circuit Diagram' page in the 'Electric' section of the manual.
To me these two are easier to read than the third, which is from the Wiring Diagram on the very last page.
I found a EN manual, but it doesn't have the Circuit Diagram, only the same Wiring Diagram that I used.

Yes VS, I don't quite understand why we can't find the exact same diagrams for all the different updates and I hate that they don't have the components shown by name rather than numbered. I have to wonder how hard it would have been to label the CDI or Magneto or even the Kill Switch what they actually are. Instead, we have to know that #1= CDI and number 3 = a Magneto or some other part that has a name. Being just a simple man I can relate that the Knee bone is connected to the Shin bone and so on but these brain surgeons insist on throwing Math in the equation!

Thank you kindly for doing this project and it should help many others who can't figure out that L = Blue.

Hi ValorSolo...

Nice work :) I was looking at the main ignition switch for the 87-00 year and 2001+ year. If you look at the diagrams you posted it shows that the grounding circuit connections going to the ECU were changed going from connected at OFF in 87-00 to being connected at ON in 01+ years. Is this in fact correct? Or is it a slight mistake in the diagram?

Anybody Got the Second Diagram?

This is an old thread, but maybe someone is still following. Today I saw a member looking for a wiring diagram for a 1992 (http://tw200forum.com/forum/technical-help/19467-electrical-mystery.html). I had downloaded the third diagram (2001 to present) which applied to my bikes, but not the others. The links in post #1 no longer work. Does anyone know where one might find the second diagram? If so maybe he could go on that thread and help that guy out.

Tell me if this works!

Yes Gary, very nicely too I might add.

That won't help at all if he is wiring a 1989. No clue why the link I posted above is no longer working but I leave that stuff to the wizards claiming to be fixing this site.

The links provided by ValorSolo in the first post are insecure redirects. Ashamed that the diagrams are no longer avail. The manual diagrams are very difficult to follow. The two colored diagrams are fair but sure wish we had year specific diagrams that are line the 87 colored diagrams. I am trying to simplify the troubleshooting and diagrams for later than 87... Very difficult with the other drawing or the FSM diagrams.
